Jason Orellana serves as the Community Risk Reduction Specialist and Assistant Public Affairs Specialist for the Cape Coral Fire Department in Cape Coral, Florida. In his current role, he has been tasked with analyzing and reducing risk within the community, building relationships with non-governmental organizations and internal stakeholders, and creating a more resilient community through personal preparedness and outreach.

Formerly, Jason was the Chief of Staff to the Student Body President at Florida Gulf Coast University, where he earned the Cabinet Member of the Year award for his hard work and dedication to increasing student representation across campus. He also served as Secretary of the Senate as a way to increase transparency amongst the students and their representatives. When he isn't working, Jason enjoys spending time volunteering, mentoring students, and discovering new foods through different cultures. Additionally, Jason is a tremendous Disney goer and ensures he takes advantage of his annual pass. He graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor Degree in Integrated Studies and is a current Master of Business Administration candidate at Western Governors University. Jason currently resides in Fort Myers, Florida, and is also a proud resident of the City of Coral Springs, Florida.
